Open House Weekends December 2009

December open houses are becoming an annual event for our group. We see a wide spectrum of people visit and watch the trains roll along the mainline. For many, memories are evoked of past Christmas holidays when they had set up a Lionel or American Flyer train under the festive tree. Many stories are exchanged and friendships renewed during these open house events. Wide-eyed kids have questions about everything on the railroad and many adults do, too.

Scroll down to view several images that chronicle just a few moments of the December 2009 open house weekends. The Mon Valley Railroad Club of West Virginia thanks the many people who ventured out to visit through inclement weather and football traffic. The support from our community helps to move our projects forward so we can open the doors again next year and show you something new.

Thanks also to club member Tom Kirby for supplying some great images.
